When it comes to the fashion industry, there are only few watchdogs who point out the blatant copying done by some designers.
But there is one handle on Instagram, who doesn't shy away from scathingly reporting on these fake copies or 'inspirations'.
An anonymous account famous for exposing 'gandi' copies, Diet Sabya, took to Instagram recently to point out 'similarities' between Indian designer Anamika Khanna's newest 'AK-OK' collection and renowned fashion editor Anna Wintour's June 2018 AWOK Jordan's.
The Anamika Khanna version of the concept was donned by Bollywood's fashionistas Sonam and Rhea Kapoor recently to an event. The ensembles that the two ladies wore had their names and 'EVERYTHNG IS AK-OK' written over the cape.
Whereas, when one takes a look at the limited range of AWOK Air Jordan's inspired by Anna Wintour's iconic AWOK acronym (short for Anna Wintour Okay), one cannot help but spot the similarity between the two. It is, after all, the ultimate sign of approval in the world of fashion

Also, Anamika Khanna's AK-OK is too close in concept to the Jordan's.
After Diet Sabya posted about the similarities, Rhea Kapoor, who was the first person to don Anamika's lehenga replied back to allegations.
She also clarified in her comments that Anamika came up with the concept because of her sons.
Well we don't know about the inspirations behind Anamika's design, but we definitely know that the acronym style is a trademark that belongs to Wintour and the whole fashion world knows it.
