  • He added that Modiji is only speaking against Pakistan which has a total population of 22 crore
  • It will take less than one hour to destroy Pakistan, Haji Subhan said
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Haji Subhan called Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar "sahab" while addressing a public meeting in Kishanganj on Friday. Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav was also present on the stage.
Subhan said, "International aatankwadi ghoshit karne ke liye Masood Azhar sahab ko China ne veto lagaya. China ne veto lagaya ki wo aatankwadi nahi hai or wo international aatankwadi ki list mein nahi aaya. Abhi tak koi bata sakte hain ki Pradhanmantri Modi ji China ke khilaaf ek lafz bol rahe hain kya?" (China used veto power to support Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar sahab. Azhar was not included in the international terrorists list because of China. China is supporting Masood Azhar. Can anyone tell me why Prime Minister Modi is not speaking against China?)

He further added, "Wo sirf uske bare mein bol rahe hai jisme dum nahi hai..Pakistan..jiski abaadi 22 crore hai..akele Uttar Pradesh ki abadi 22 crore se zyada hai..ek ghanta nahi lagega Pakistan ko barbaad krne mein" (He is only speaking against Pakistan which has a total population of 22 crore. Uttar Pradesh alone has more than 22 crore people. It will take less than one hour to destroy Pakistan).
Reacting to the RJD MLA's comments, JDU spokesperson Ajay Alok said it had become a pattern for Congress and RJD leaders to refer to terrorists as "Sahab" and "Ji" to appease the Muslim vote bank.
"Sonia Gandhi shed tears when Batla House terrorists were killed, Kamal Nath calls Masood Azhar as Sahab and Digvijay Singh refers Osama Bin Laden as Osama ji. The only intention behind doing this is to appease the Muslim voters," said JDU spokesperson Ajay Alok.
RJD which was left embarrassed by the MLA's comments lost no time in disassociating the party from the controversy.
"The party does not stand by this comment and we disassociate ourselves from it," said Manoj Jha RJD MP.
Earlier, Congress president Rahul Gandhi was in the eye of controversy after he referred to terrorist and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar as 'Masood Azharji'. Several BJP leaders have lashed out at Rahul Gandhi.
Smriti Irani even took to Twitter to say that Rahul Gandhi and Pakistan have one thing in common - their love for terrorists.
