Kriti Sanon has three films lined-up to release this year.
It is a year of a lot of work for Kriti Sanon as she has her kitty full with some big projects. After the success of Luka Chuppi, the actress is starring in films like Housefull 4, Arjun Patiala and Panipat. Now, the newsis that Kriti Sanon will play protagonist in Raees director Rahul Dholakia's next yet-to-be-titled film.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the film draws inspiration from real-life stories for a fictional set-up in Mumbai.
Kriti plays the role of a media professional in the film. Confirming the news, Kriti Sanon told the daily, "I had been waiting for the right female-driven film to come my way and this one ticked all the boxes. I play a media professional for which the research has already started. I can’t wait to start shooting for this film. It’s an entertainer with a powerful core idea and will connect with audiences without being preachy."
The Heropanti actress will be seen as a reporter in her next film Arjun Patiala as well. The film stars Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Sharma in pivotal roles.
Rahul Dholakia's untitled film will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule from August 2019. It is written by Bilal Siddiqi, while Sunir Kheterpal will be producing it along with the director of the film. Reports say that as the film will be heavy on visual effects, a top VFX studio from South Korea is being brought on board.
Talking about the film and Kriti's role, Rahul Dholakia told the daily, "This idea was pitched while it was being developed and we realised that there is an exciting thriller format that this story lends itself to. It’s a cracker of a script and Kriti is the ideal choice for the protagonist."
Informing about the shoot details, producer Sunir Kheterpal told the daily, "The team will be conducting a week-long workshop which will start by the end of July." The film is scheduledto release in the first half of 2020.
Ahead of a busy shooting schedule, Kriti Sanon is currently enjoying vacation in Maldives with her friends. The actress is active on Instagram and keeps sharing her vacation pictures with her fans.
After the vacation, the actress will join Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Sharma for Arjun Patiala promotions.
