Telugu superstar Akhil Akkineni, son of legendary actor Nagarjuna and actress Nidhhi Agerwal, who made her Bollywood debut in Tiger Shroff’s Munna Michael (2017), are starring in a Telugu film together titled Mr Majnu. The much-awaited romantic comedy has finally released a teaser and we got our first video footage of the upcoming film.
In the 56-second long teaser, Akhil is seen portraying a young and dynamic Casanova, who clearly has a weak spot for women, chasing them round the clock until he meets Nikki, portrayed by Nidhhi Agerwal. He falls in love with her instantly but then it can’t be a great love story without there being a number of obstacles right? What those obstacles will be we’ll find out when the story of the film unfolds.
The chemistry between the two actors, despite being from different film industries, is pretty impressive in the small sample size we get to see in the teaser. Both Akhil and Nidhhi sizzle on-screen while we also get a glimpse of Venky Atluri’s directorial choices.
Akhil Akkineni, who rose to fame with his captivating performance in Akhil (2015), has become a heart-throb in Telugu films, especially after his last film Hello (2017). It’ll be interesting to see if the actor’s upcoming romcom can grasp the same magic as his previously films.
Produced by BVSN Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Chalana Chitra banner, the film had wrapped its shooting schedule in London last year and set to hit theatres on January 25. The music of the film, by S Thaman, too has had fans buzzing about it.
